C E A L A C H .the rain falls down on me again.
Weary paws trudged along the the dusty ground, made too hot by the sun which beat down mercilessly upon the tired figure. Tongu lolling out, tail drooped low and head down, the dog looked as if it was on it's last legs. Her fur was scruffy and dirty and her stomach grumbled for what was possible the hundredth time that day. Cealach walked along the streets, trying to avoid contact with the humans who walked the same streets, going about their business. The glorious smell of food wafted over to Cealach, dancing around her nostrils, temping her. She followed it to where a human was eating their lunch, and resisted the urge to steal it. Best not to get on the wrong side of the humans.
Finding her way to a small alley, Cealach dropped down on the ground behind some dustbins and closed her eyes. It was an enormous relief; lying in the shade of the buildings. Her head hammered and she squeezed her eyes shut more tightly. The sunlight had done nothing to ease the pain of her headache. Or the pain of her heart. The warmth of another at her side.... Growling, Cealach stood up and shook her head, as if to shake the memory away. "That's the past.." she whispered to herself, biting her lip to try and stop the tears. Blood dripped from her bottom lip where her sharp tooth had punctured it and a solitary tear escaped, running down the side of her face. Stop living in the past...
.beating tirelessly upon my weary frame.

Cursico sat and looked very cute for the little girl. Her mother was being a bad parent off on a bench leaving her daughter free to approach the fluffy stray. Not that Cursico looked much like a stray, considering he was a very close breed to a wolf the free life was easy on him. Easy peasy lemon squeazy. Though sometimes he got bored with running through trees, through fields, across hills and around mountains, and the crazy sprawl of Urban humans became of interest. As expected, the girl leaned forward to hug him, leaving her hotdog close enough to grab. Promptly without a twinge on his consciousness, Cursico grabbed it, paper wrapping included. He winked at the girl who's face was going red with tears. Cursico ran his tail under the little girls chin before running off with his prize, and running away from a mother who had finally noticed what her daughter was doing. Scampering away and careening down an alleyway. The malamute ran through that alley without a single thought of staying, in fact he skipped through five more streets before slowing.
"Thats the Past"
He perked his ears, then using claws used to running across soil he tapped on the concrete. The concrete was bad for claws he knew, it made them all dull and bad for gripping. He'd need to go back to his element to get them back up to scratch. The dog dropped his hotdog so he could speak, not really caring for the off-smelling food, "Hey Ho? You doing a history lesson on Henry the seventh?" He called, voice echoing around the dirty walls.

C E A L A C H .yet still i lie, lost in this reverie.
The sound of another startled Cealach and she jumped up quickly, shaking her head to get rid of the tears still in her eyes. She hadn't expected to be disturbed quite so soon, she had thought herself well hidden from passers by. At least it wasn't a human who had discovered her, she wouldn't have the energy to get away. And this dog didn't seem to want a fight, at least she hoped it didn't want one. She had no energy for anything other than lying around, she hadn't even bothered to find some food, even though her stomach was growling. The weight of the past weighed too heavily down on her and she just wanted to curl up and fade away.
Sighing heavily, she stepped forward from behind the bins and looked at the other dog. She hadn't seen many dogs of his breed in the town, in fact, she hadn't seen any, which made her wonder why this one was here. He looked around her age, which she took a bit of relief in as he would probably be less likely to attack, she hoped. "Who are you?" she asked timidly, not wanting to sound rude. "And what are you doing here?" For all she knew, she had stumbled into his territory without even realising.
.broken wings crumpled beneath me.

I'm supposing this isn't a history lesson then. Cursico thought languidly while licking his lips. He smiled at the dog, although it was more a smile of nervous discomfort rather than one of happy emotions. "I'm Cursico... I'm here because I can be." He replied, wondering why she hadn't stated her name first, it was the polite thing to do. Give and you shall recieve... Well, sometimes. His curled tail was wagging weakly, she didn't look too good, being a knuckle-head he couldn't understand why. The malamute picked up his prize and bounded closer before dropping it again and plomping his rump on the hard concrete. "Who're you and why're you here?" He echoed her question back, even going so far as to imitate her tone of voice. A good impression if he could say so himself.
